Hero's Armor and Runes. - Guild Wars Forums

Just a quick question, if you have a hero that has runes on his armor and then upgrade his armor does the new armor still have the old runes on it?

Or do I have to just salvage off the runes from my old armor and re-apply them to the upgraded armor?
